How to apply?
Admission to undergraduate BA degree programmes is conditioned by successful graduating from grammar school or specialized secondary school and by successful passing the entrance examination which consists of the talent examination and the tests of knowledge. The entrance examination usually takes place in the first trimester of the calendar year. Applications deadline is at the end of November of the previous calendar year.
Only students who have completed an undergraduate BA degree course in a relevant study programme and have passed the entrance examination successfully can be accepted to an MA degree course. The examination usually takes place in June or in August.
Applicants for postgraduate studies who have completed MA degree courses in relevant study programmes are obliged to submit a project of their doctoral thesis or an artistic production and a successful entrance examination. The information on admission to doctoral studies depends on the number of postgraduate students who can be admitted and it is advertised on VŠMU website.
Application procedure for an Erasmus exchange student
If you wish to come to study to the Academy of Performing Arts Bratislava as an Erasmus exchange student:
¬ your home institution must officially nominate you. Therefore, you must contact your Erasmus coordinator (International Office)
¬ you have to fill in the standard forms
REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION:
• Application Form
• Transcript of Records before mobility
• CV
• Motivation Letter
• Portfolio (CD, DVD, photographs...)
¬ required documentation must be confirmed/signed by the relevant coordinators of your home institution and sent to the Institutional Erasmus coordinator (contact bellow)
DEADLINES:
• 30 April – for the Winter term (October – January)
• 31 Octobre – for the Summer term (February – June)
